As we approach the one-year mark of the pandemic, millions of workers have hit a breaking point, and employers are starting to see the fallout from 2020.

Based on Beqom’s 2021 Compensation and Culture Report, 40 % of workers plan to quit their jobs this year on account of how their employers managed Covid-19.

As employers devise methods for a post-pandemic world, the question remains: What can leaders do to retain their virtual workers?

It is a question leaders have been grappling with for many years, as managers account for a 70 percent variance in worker engagement, based on Gallup.

The answer is not as troublesome as it appears. It has always come right down to the varieties of relationships between bosses and their workers that result in success and outcomes.

1. Deal with workers like people

Leaders should discover a way to connect with their people and connect their crew members with each other. It is essential for each employee mental well being and high performance. Always be looking out for alternatives to build community and connect as people, rather than merely employees spinning in a hamster wheel.

2. Present your true, genuine self

5. Make your digital world extra real
